WHAT WE TREAT

Chiropractors use their hands to adjust the joints of your spinal column, cranium and limbs where indications are that the system is compromised. This is an adjustment. Correcting these misalignments, known as subluxations, will aim to improve your body function, restore your health and reduce pain.

Chiropractors are usually associated with the treatment of low back pain, however Chiropractic has been shown to be effective for a wide range of joint conditions, such as:

  • Lower back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Whiplash and neck pain
  • Migraine and tension headaches
  • Knee and hip problems
  • Shoulder, arm and wrist pain
  • Frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Sporting injuries
  • Muscle aches
  • Sprains and strains
  • Stiffness and pain from some forms of arthritis

As well as the more straightforward musculoskeletal problems, Chiropractic has a role to play in some conditions that are less obviously amenable to treatment.

Babies and children

Babies suffer their first and major stress at birth. It is important to check that every bone is well in place to allow the child the best possible outcome for their life.  Until a human being reaches the age of 15/16 spinal deviations are correctable, after this we can only improve them. Every child should be checked, as this will determine their health potential throughout their entire existence.  Most common symptoms helped by Chiropractic are asthma, colic and repetitive ear infections.  The techniques used on babies and children are very gentle and non-invasive.
